The Author’s Welcome
I’m delighted you’re participating in my book’s blog tour. Many Christians are not enjoying their walk with God, but they don’t know what’s missing or how to get it. A Widow’s Might answers both questions.
Using my experience of losing my husband and then moving forward to start a new life as a singled-out woman, I’ll show you how to get more out of your relationship with God. And if you’re already enjoying a full, rich spiritual life, A Widow’s Might will be a great tool for sharing with others “the reason for the hope that is within you” (1 Peter 3:15).
About the Book
Many of us in the body of Christ are living below our privileges as sons and daughters of God. We yearn for more in our experience with Him but don’t know what’s missing. In A Widow’s Might, Judy Knox reveals the missing element and explains how to get it.
Losing her husband due to complications following heart surgery could have been devastating. Instead, Judy’s ten weeks with him in the hospital ICU became a turning point, where she turned from her own strength to God’s. And when after fifty-one years, she suddenly found herself alone, she realized she was not alone at all. God was walking the path with her.
Judy will help you get more out of your relationship with God by showing you how to:
- hear and know God’s voice
- infuse your life with the power of the Holy Spirit
- enjoy your freedom as a new creation in Christ
- conquer negative thoughts and emotions
- win your spiritual battles
Her stories illustrate these serious truths in a light-hearted way. Whether you’re a new believer or a seasoned Christian, the fresh insights in Judy’s message will energize your walk with God.
About the Author
Judy Knox, a retired high school teacher, now teaches Christians how to get more from their relationship with God. Recently widowed, she resides most of the year in northern Illinois near her married son and daughter and six grandchildren, and flies south to Arizona for the winter months. Judy is the author of Dewdrops of Grace, a collection of devotionals. In addition to writing and speaking, she is active in her local church and enjoys playing the cello. You’ll find her blog at www.judyaknox.com.
In the book A Widow’s Might, Judy Knox opens a window to the heartache and pain of experiencing a spouse’s death and the strength from God that comes for troubled times. Dozens of times in the Bible, God promises never to leave us or forsake us. This book is not only a reminder of that promise but a testimony to God’s faithfulness. A Widow’s Might will be an encouragement to all who need to know that God’s strength will be sufficient for what they’re going through.
Rev. Gary J. Blanchard, Assistant Superintendent, Illinois District Assemblies of God
In Judy’s book, A Widow’s Might: The Secret to Finding Strength in God, Judy demonstrates how a relationship with God helps us overcome the challenges we face in daily life and apply the principles of God’s Word. Her joy and confident trust in God show us how we can walk in victory through an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

Starting to read A Widow’s Might, I was caught up in the experiences of the writer. She communicated her feelings so well that it also became my reality. Her spiritual growth as the book progresses allowed even me to feel closer to God. I can sympathize with Judy’s position as the situation with Alan’s health deteriorates. However, women who are newly widowed, going through the grief process or, like Judy, waiting for the eventuality will find this book a great deal of comfort and a meaningful way to deal with grief. Learning to find yourself through God and depending on Him in all things is the powerful message of this wonderful book.
