Everyone, Everywhere certainly calls the reader back again and again to its title that the point of evangelism is reaching people with the gospel unto the ends of the earth. Dr. Erick Schenkel opens his book with he and his wife broken from persecution in a Soviet Muslim country and ends his plea for missions with his devout stance that they have no regrets in forfeiting comfortable Boston living.

This narrative gives the reader a lowdown on the digitally communicative world we find ourselves in and offers statistics and facts on how today’s global community is more visually learned than other forms of learning. Hence, the Jesus Film project, which is Luke’s Gospel in film, has been instrumental in conversions across the globe.

Much of what Dr. Schenkel has to say concerning reaching the world for Christ comes from his own sincere soul searching that faith doesn’t need a renewal, but Christian lifestyles need revival. The perspective he maintains throughout the book comes from casting aside lukewarm American belief and the American exception of religious rights onto becoming a Jesus follower in other places in the world, where maintaining a truly Christian way of life is invigorated by evangelism and Holy Ghost inspiration, and not materialism and policy agenda. He is quite general in his description of Christians and graciously explains the three major general denominations of Catholic, Protestant, and Orthodox. The brief descriptions he allows on church history are enough that the reader can find resources to match their curiosity.

He gives many referenced, personal experiences of converts from the Jesus film as well as numbers on Christian evangelism worldwide. There are pictures included in the back, an About the Author section, and end notes to reference all the accounts he cited.
