1 review for Investing Wisely (eBook)
I found this little book to be invaluable. Each of the seven chapters is based on what the authors call decisions. For instance, chapter or decision 1 is I will make money a tool, not a purpose. The book itself is full of beneficial tidbits. In decision 4: I will invest the resources God has entrusted to me and let every dollar multiply. The authors explain different types of investments (e.g., Crypto, money markets, etc.). In the decision, they also discuss the importance of being patient with your investments, referring to it as the Methuselah technique.
The book also has some beneficial resources. Decision 2, which is about budgeting, was the chapter I found most helpful. At the end of the book, the authors provide a budget worksheet. They also offer a quick reference guide on the stock market. Defining terms and giving a simple explanation of how it works. Resource 2 is a helpful financial goals workshop, and it also includes a study guide.
I cannot recommend this book enough. It is firm in its biblical doctrine and sound in its advice. As the authors write, “When we forget that God is the provider and sustainer, we begin to cling to money with closed fists instead of holding it with open hands.” Whether you are financially secure and looking for how to invest ethically or struggling and needing some budget help, this book is for you.
