Human trafficking is one of today’s darkest realities.

When Ted Greenfield first said yes to God’s prompting to help in the fight against human trafficking, he had no plans, no aircraft, and no experience. But through divine guidance, answered prayer, and miraculous provision, Invisible Angels was born – an air rescue ministry flying trafficking survivors to safety. Rescuing children sometimes not even ten years old and at other times rescuing thirty- or forty-year-olds in desperate situations, this gripping story reveals the evil of trafficking, the resilience of survivors, and the courage it takes to make a difference.

For Ted, the journey wasn’t easy. He faced job loss, spiritual attacks, seasons of isolation – and the overwhelming weight of the mission. Yet every setback and every delay proved to be seasons of much-needed refining and training, shaping Ted into a vessel for this work, for God’s glory.

About the Author
Ted Greenfield, M.Ed. is the founder and director of Invisible Angels, a nonprofit organization providing air transportation for survivors of human trafficking. A commercially rated pilot, Ted retired from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in the spring of 2025, where he served as a multimedia producer, creating safety messaging and training for air traffic controllers and pilots. Before his time at the FAA, Ted served as a senior instructional systems designer contractor at Lockheed Martin and was the executive producer and internet managing editor for Voice of America’s Learning English.

Ted made plans, but his steps were directed by God (Proverbs 16:9), resulting in a diverse background – from special education teacher, to improv comedian, to television producer. Ted then navigated the evolving internet landscape of the late 1990s while owning a small online training and multimedia development company until 2008, after which he worked for the FAA until 2025.
