This book is for anyone. It’s for those who love seeing God’s redemptive power on display. It’s for those who aren’t even sure God cares. It’s for those who are in prison, as much as it is for those who are free. It’s for the helpless, the hopeless, the broken, the forgotten, the “Yu don’t know what I’ve done.” It’s for the person who already has it “all together.” It’s for YOU!
I devoured this one in about a day. It’s such an easy read, despite the seriousness these pages address. I loved reading Munchian’s story. I loved seeing his mess turned into a message of hope. I loved reading about the millions this message has reached.
A powerful testimony

As an active memeber of our associational jail ministry this book was extremely helpful in forming the way I will now do my ministry. H. Roger Munchian’ testimony is raw. An Armenian immigrant to East Los Angeles, “Roger Rabbit” tells of his rise from his family’s struggling sub shop to multi-million dollar drug dealer. He pulls no punches telling about drug deals, gang violence and shoot-outs.
A high speed collision with a median, which nearly killed two women, while intoxicated lands Munchian in jail. While in the “crazy chair” he calls out for God to help him. That moment changed Roger Rabbit’s life. When he is later arrested for his drug offenses there was a scene that help to refocus my own ministry.
His bunk mate asks him he is a Christian to which he says yes. There is some dialog about the apsotle Paul being in jail while writing his letters. Finally Munchian tells him “He (God) will be with me wherever I go.” To which his cellmate says “If you was God, would you hang out in stink like this?” Roger replies “I believe that this is especially where God wants to hang out. This is where the lost are.”
Wow. I photocopied that out of my book and glued it to the inside cover of my ministry bible. Thank you Roger Rabbit for teaching this jail minister what it really takes to be effective in jail ministry. You may have wrote this book to help people in prison and but you really helped this minister
