About the Author
Carin LeRoy and her husband have been in ministry with Pioneers since 1981. They worked in a church planting ministry in Papua New Guinea for almost thirteen years, during which Carin developed literacy primers for that language, ministered to the women and children, and added three children to their family. They have since worked in Orlando, FL, serving in several roles within the Pioneers staff. They continue to visit Papua New Guinea to encourage the church, as the Lord has enabled them. At home, Carin also teaches piano. They have four grown children and six grandchildren.

What a treasure into the ‘reality’ of what it means to take the ‘Good News’ to places and people who have never heard the Gospel. After having served the Lord overseas myself for many years, this book was such an inspirational delight in my personal devotions. The ‘short stories’ hit home. I looked up every suggested Scripture and meditated deeply on the privilege of being faithful to God’s call, His message and His using me on a daily basis. Congratulations to Carin. This is a must read for everyone who claims the name of Christ. I’ve ordered quite a few copies for my friends.
I was blessed to read Where No Roads Go. I think it is a book that is badly needed in our Christian world today because of the way these stories make God a part of everything. It is so easy for us to compartmentalize God, and then to think He is not enough when we never allowed Him into ALL the compartments of our lives. These stories were simple snippets of everyday life as a missionary, but they are full of the refreshing truth of God’s Word in principle and practice. As we read of the author’s struggles, the devotional aspect of the book gave good insight in helping the reader ask themselves good questions about their own life. No one might ever understand how difficult the author’s struggles were, but I appreciated her positive spin on everything. I do believe when we see God in our situation and circumstances, He enables us to see the good in all things as from His hand.
There has been a constant trend towards blame shifting and minimizing the need for the things God allows in our live, as if it was all someone else’s fault. This book was a refreshing change from that mindset. Mostly, this book gives a beautiful Romans 8:28 purpose for all those little happenings that happen to us, no matter where where we find ourselves.
