The updated edition of this classic book makes it so much easier to follow. I love the insights of DL Moody, and with a busy schedule – I can read through it much faster because of the updated more modern language. Moody doesn’t hesitate to get right to the heart of the matter on spiritual issues. He tackles problems and faults that we all struggle with at one time or another, but is full of grace and truth. This is a terrific classical Christian book that anyone will benefit from. It makes a nice gift for a mature Christian, as well as for someone you are ministering to.

This book is excellent. I have read through it multiple times now. I am actually leading a group of men at my church through this book as well. This book is for Christians. It is designed to strengthen and encourage believers in their walk and it gives guidance on how to live “The Overcoming Life”. Moody was not one that I had read previously. I had heard the name but didn’t know much about him. I was missing out. His teaching is solid, biblical and accessible. It gets down to the basics of what the Word says and how we should live.
